Motorola Edge 70: Slim, Stylish & Affordable Flagship Rival
The Motorola Edge 70 delivers slim design, pro cameras, and flagship-level features at a surprisingly affordable price. Is this the best value smartphone of the year?

Motorola Edge 70: A Slim, Stylish, and Surprisingly Affordable Flagship Alternative
The ultra-thin smartphone trend is gaining momentum, and Motorola is stepping confidently into the spotlight with the Motorola Edge 70. While other brands have been pushing slim profiles too, Motorola’s approach might be the most balanced yet — blending sleek aesthetics, solid performance, and a price that doesn’t shock the wallet.
A Feather-Light, Durable Design
At just 5.99mm thick, the Edge 70 isn’t quite as razor-thin as the 5.64mm iPhone Air or 5.8mm Galaxy S25 Edge, but the difference in hand will be practically invisible. Where it truly stands out is its 159-gram weight — extremely light for a modern smartphone.
Despite its slim frame, durability hasn’t been sacrificed. The phone features IP68/IP69 water- and dust-resistance, plus MIL-STD-810H certification, giving it the rugged confidence to survive daily wear and occasional mishaps. In other words, this isn’t just a fragile fashion piece — it’s built to last.

Screen, Power, and Storage Options
Front and center sits a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, offering bold colors and deep blacks. Beneath the sleek exterior, Motorola has equipped the device with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, paired with either:
- 8GB or 12GB RAM, and
- 256GB or 512GB storage
This configuration makes the Edge 70 suitable for everyday users who multitask, stream, browse, and play without needing top-tier flagship horsepower.
A Battery Built for Slim Phones — But With a Twist
Thin phones usually bring one major concern: battery life. Motorola tackles this head-on with a 4,800mAh silicon-carbon battery, a modern chemistry designed to offer both longevity and efficiency.
The company claims the Edge 70 can last up to 50 hours of mixed usage on a single charge — an impressive number for such a slim profile. When it does run low, it supports:
- 68W wired fast charging
- 15W wireless charging
So whether you’re rushing out the door or topping up overnight, power shouldn’t be an issue.
Cameras and Software Support
Photography fans get a capable setup:
- 50MP main camera
- 50MP ultrawide camera
- 50MP selfie camera
That means sharp detail whether you’re shooting sweeping landscapes or portrait selfies.
Out of the box, the phone runs Android 16, with three additional OS upgrades planned and security updates promised through 2031. Motorola’s messaging suggested four updates, but counting Android 16, the true number of new versions is three — still a respectable long-term commitment.
Elegant Pantone Colors & Included Case
The Edge 70 arrives in three Pantone-selected shades:
- Bronze Green
- Lily Pad
- Gadget Grey
The body uses a premium-feel polycarbonate finish, and Motorola even includes a magnetic slim protective case in the box — a thoughtful touch, especially for a thin phone.
Pricing & Availability
The Motorola Edge 70 launches November 5 in:
✅ U.K.
✅ Europe
✅ Latin America
✅ Other international markets
Pricing starts at £700 (~$915), making it significantly cheaper than the iPhone Air or Galaxy S25 Edge — though those models do offer more powerful specs.
A U.S. release has not yet been confirmed, but Motorola often rebrands devices for different regions, so we may still see a version stateside at a later date.
