They display 31 and 37 hours of autonomy in “video playback” respectively. For comparison, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max held 27 and 33 hours last year.
This new increase in autonomy will make iPhone 17 pro and pro max the most enduring smartphones on the market. Apple was already in good position with its iPhone 16 Pro Max, it has just fixed the bar higher.
iPhone Air: the new one
Everyone was waiting for Apple at the turn with their iPhone Air. If her finesse was welcomed, no one wanted her to arrive at the expense of autonomy. On paper, this is not the case. The iPhone Air is able to operate 27 hours in “video reading” mode. This is clearly better than the iPhone 16 launched last year.
