Exciting Android Calling Cards Are Getting Super Customizable!

Android calling cards are evolving! Discover how new customization features will make your calls more personal and fun.

Android Calling Cards Are About to Get Much More Customizable

Google recently introduced Calling Cards to the Phone by Google app, but the feature is now set for a major upgrade that will significantly boost customization options for your contacts’ appearance. Initially announced last month, Calling Cards have been in development since late June, and the latest beta version of the app hints at even more personalization tools.

The Phone by Google app version 192.0.806919635 (beta) brings a new font customization tool to the Calling Cards editor, according to Android Authority. Users can already choose from a variety of fonts and colors, but the upcoming update will allow more detailed adjustments. A new slider icon in the font selection row will let users modify Width, Weight, and Roundness of the font, all with a real-time preview of the changes.

Currently, this tool appears limited to the Google Sans Flex font, rather than every available font in the editor. Attempts to sideload this beta version or update to the latest beta (version 193.0.809761572) show that Google is testing these features with a small set of users, as Calling Cards are temporarily missing from some app settings.

Once fully rolled out, these enhancements could give Android’s Calling Cards an advantage over Apple’s Contact Posters, which offer less customization. While no official release date has been announced, the update demonstrates Google’s commitment to making Calling Cards a more personalized experience for Android users.
