Google Nest Thermostats Get 4 Exciting New Faces

Google’s Nest Learning Thermostat (4th Gen) is stepping up its style game. With four new Farsight faces, your thermostat is about to become both more functional and visually appealing. Combined with the four existing options, you now have eight ways to customize your device.

What is Farsight?

Farsight is the feature that automatically lights up your thermostat when it detects motion about 10 feet away. It shows:

  • Indoor and outdoor temperature
  • Humidity
  • Air quality
  • Current time and date

This makes it easy to check your home’s climate from across the room—without getting up.

Meet the New Faces

1. Seasonal Art Face 🎨

A collaboration with artist Mathilde Loubes, this face turns your thermostat into a mini art display. Each month, animated illustrations of flowers and fruits change with the seasons, adding a touch of beauty to any room.

2. Nest Classic Face 🏠

A modern take on the original Nest display, featuring orange and blue backgrounds. It clearly shows temperature and operating status, perfect for longtime Nest fans seeking nostalgia.

3. Minimal Face ✨

Sleek and simple, this face uses line drawings to indicate modes like Cooling (❄️) or Eco (🌿). Ideal for minimalist interiors where function meets design.

4. Temp Controller Face 🌡️

Designed for quick, at-a-glance temperature adjustments, it displays your settings clearly whether you’re near or far. Perfect for those who frequently tweak their thermostat.

How to Set Your Favorite Face

You can change your Farsight display easily:

On the thermostat:

  1. Press the ring to open Quick View
  2. Go to Settings > Farsight
  3. Scroll and select your preferred face

Via Google Home app:

  1. Open the app and select your thermostat
  2. Go to Settings > Farsight
  3. Choose your favorite display

Why It Matters

Since your thermostat is often in hallways or central rooms, the display you pick matters. Make it something pleasing to the eye. Personally, the Seasonal Art Face is a standout—it’s artistic, fun, and fits any room style.

With these new faces, Google Nest is transforming everyday temperature checks into a small but delightful experience. Personalization meets functionality, bringing a touch of art, nostalgia, or simplicity to your home.
