OPPO Find X9 Pro Review: The Flagship Others Should Fear
Triple Hasselblad cameras, a 10x telephoto lens, and record-breaking battery life the OPPO Find X9 Pro doesn’t just follow trends; it raises the bar for every smartphone in 2025. After last year’s excellent Find X8 Pro, expectations were sky-high. The result? OPPO has once again delivered a flagship that stands tall among the very best.
Packaging and First Impressions
Like many premium smartphones this year, OPPO keeps things minimal. Inside the box, you’ll find only a USB-C charging cable no charger included. However, those purchasing before the end of November will receive a generous gift bundle: Enco X3i earbuds, a protective cover, and a power bank. That certainly softens the blow.
Design and Build Quality

The Find X9 Pro abandons the circular camera design of its predecessor in favor of a square camera block. While some may prefer last year’s look, this change makes the phone easier to handle the new module doesn’t dig into your hand during daily use.
The build exudes luxury: matte glass back, matte aluminum frame, and meticulous finishing around the camera housing. The downside? It’s a little slippery and slightly unbalanced on a flat surface.
At 8.25mm thick and 224 grams, it’s neither the slimmest nor lightest flagship, but OPPO makes up for it with durability. The phone boasts IP68 and IP69 certification, meaning it’s protected even from high-pressure or high-temperature water jets a rare feat in smartphones.
Hardware and Performance
Under the hood, OPPO surprises by choosing the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, a powerful 3nm octa-core chip clocked at 4.21GHz with an ARM G1-Ultra GPU. While Snapdragon fans might raise an eyebrow, performance is nearly indistinguishable in real-world use.
There’s 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring blazing speed in both multitasking and file access. Thermal management is excellent too, thanks to a large vapor chamber cooling system that keeps the phone cool even during long gaming sessions.
Connectivity doesn’t disappoint: 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 with video output are all included. The ultrasonic fingerprint reader is fast and accurate, but the lack of ultra-wideband (UWB) is a small letdown.
A clever addition is the Snap Key button on the top left. It’s programmable you can assign it to launch the camera, mute notifications, or even trigger OPPO’s new Mind Space AI features.
Cameras: Hasselblad Brilliance

This year, OPPO shifts from a quad-camera setup to a triple-camera system, and it’s a masterstroke. The telephoto sensor now packs a 200MP resolution, allowing lossless zoom up to 6x and excellent digital zoom beyond that all without sacrificing detail.
Rear Cameras:
- Main: 50MP, f/1.5
- Ultra-wide: 50MP, f/2.0
- Telephoto: 200MP (3x optical, up to 6x lossless)
Co-engineered with Hasselblad, the cameras deliver vibrant, balanced, and true-to-life results. Autofocus is razor-sharp, and the system handles tricky lighting from bright concerts to low-light indoor shots with confidence.
Macro mode now activates automatically using the wide-angle camera, but sometimes it’s better to use the telephoto lens, which surprisingly focuses well at close distances too.
The 50MP front camera continues the excellence, producing detailed selfies and crisp video. Speaking of which, the Find X9 Pro records 4K at 60fps on all lenses, with outstanding stabilization and natural color rendering. Even the minor jump between lenses mid-video has been reduced though not entirely eliminated.
OPPO also offers an optional teleconverter accessory, transforming the periscope camera into a true 10x optical zoom (and up to 30x digitally). It’s an impressive piece of tech for photography enthusiasts, though its €499.99 price tag makes it a niche add-on.
Display: Bright, Sharp, and Eye-Friendly
The 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display is another highlight. It features a resolution of 1,272 × 2,772 pixels, a variable refresh rate (1–120Hz), and up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness. More importantly, it can drop to just 1 nit at night perfect for eye comfort.
OPPO’s 2,160Hz PWM dimming minimizes flicker, making long viewing sessions easier on the eyes. There’s also HDR10+ support for cinematic contrast and color reproduction.
If we had one complaint, it’s the lack of an anti-reflective coating a small omission on an otherwise stunning display.
Software and AI Features
Running ColorOS 16 on Android 16, the Find X9 Pro feels fast, refined, and thoughtfully designed. OPPO promises five major Android updates and six years of security patches, placing it among the most future-proof Android phones available.
The interface introduces Acqua Dynamics notifications (similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island), fluid animations powered by the Luminos Rendering Engine, and beautiful new lock screen wallpapers.
Customization reaches new levels with multi-shaped icons and folders, while the new always-on display takes visual cues from Apple yet feels distinctly OPPO in execution.
The AI-powered Mind Space feature is especially interesting. It lets you save snippets of text or links from chats or the web, and later retrieve them through Gemini, Google’s conversational assistant. You also get built-in AI tools for summarizing, translating, and rewriting content.
Battery Life: A New Benchmark
If battery life is your top priority, look no further. The Find X9 Pro packs a 7,500mAh silicon-carbon battery, giving it up to two days of moderate use or a full day of heavy gaming and photography.
Charging is equally remarkable:
- 80W wired charging
- 50W wireless charging
- 10W reverse wireless charging
There’s even magnetic wireless charging, although it only works with the special magnetic case. Still, this setup places OPPO far ahead of most competitors in both capacity and speed.
Price and Availability
The OPPO Find X9 Pro is priced at €1,299, a €100 jump from last year’s model but justified by its improvements. Early buyers can take advantage of bundle offers that include accessories worth several hundred euros a nice touch for such a premium product.
As for the 10x teleconverter, it’s a beautiful yet expensive accessory at €499.99 a luxury for camera enthusiasts rather than a must-have for everyone.
Verdict: The 2025 Flagship to Beat
The OPPO Find X9 Pro is an absolute powerhouse. It pairs record-breaking battery life with world-class cameras, fast charging, and refined software. The Dimensity 9500 performs like a champion, and the new Hasselblad camera system delivers consistently beautiful shots in any condition.
Sure, it’s pricey and slightly slippery, and some features like the teleconverter are overkill. But make no mistake: this is a statement device that shows OPPO can compete toe-to-toe with Samsung, Apple, and Google.

OPPO Find X9 Pro
The OPPO Find X9 Pro is the most complete premium smartphone on the market, and other manufacturers should be afraid. It has a huge battery with lightning-fast charging, which powers a smartphone with excellent cameras and a display to match. The software is also incredibly fluid and will continue to receive updates for a long time to come. The price is obviously high, but of all the smartphones on the market today, this is truly the one that ticks the most boxes.
